Graduate Certificate Program In Industrial Ecology

You must be enrolled in a Master’s or PhD degree program at the University of Michigan to be eligible to apply.
This is a 15-credit program. The 15 required credits are above and beyond your other program requirements. Rackham does allow some double-counting between two degrees. You can double count up to 1/6 of the total of the current graduate program but no more than half of the certificate credit requirement. Download program requirements and courses here.

The goal of the Precision Health Graduate Certificate is to train a cadre of precision health scientists to apply cutting-edge, multidisciplinary knowledge in the pursuit of improving patient and population health. Designed for masters and doctoral students enrolled in degree-granting graduate programs at the University of Michigan, the Precision Health Graduate Certificate is approved by the Rackham School of Graduate Studies.
The certificate requires:
- A minimum of ten graduate credit hours of coursework from at least two different precision health competency domains. An effort should be made to include all precision health domains .
- Participation in four semesters of the 0.5 credit Precision Health seminar series for a total of two credit hours.

AASECT Certification
The five tracks of the program utilize AASECT recommended standards of learning including six courses in sexuality education for all, a specialized values training called the Sexual Attitude Reassessment for all, and additional hours of training specific to certification credentials in sexuality educator , sexuality counselor and sex therapist . The program addresses the AASECT certification process throughout the program and assists participants in locating AASECT supervisors and mentors suitable to each participant. At the conclusion, participants receive a certificate indicating the successful completion of the University of Michigan Sexual Health Program Participants who are interested in receiving AASECT certification will need to apply for certification at the conclusion of the program.
Continuing Education Hours
